Safety

Consent and a reason to stop come before a better listing.

This page is the boundary around the guides. The wash, the lubricant, and the material nouns live on the care guide. When the right move is to close the tabs, use when not to buy.

Adults only

Definite is for people 18 and older. Nothing here is written for minors, and the guides are not a script for pressuring anyone. If you are shopping for a gift, the other person still has to want the category. A wrapped object is not a yes.

Consent stays current

A relationship, a previous purchase, or an earlier conversation does not obligate anyone to continue. People need room to say yes, no, or not now without a penalty. RAINN’s explanation of consent is a public source for that idea. RAINN did not review this site. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. This website is not a crisis line.

Follow the object you actually bought

Check the maker’s instructions for material, power, charging, cleaning, and whether any part may be submerged. Do not assume a small object can be used in any body area because it fits. For a comparison of those facts before you buy, use the five fields, especially control and care.

Stop for pain

Stop if you feel pain, numbness, or irritation. A more intense product is not a way through a symptom. Persistent or unexplained changes belong with a qualified clinician. Definite does not provide medical care and will not suggest a product as treatment.

Privacy of the household and the account

Do not record or photograph an intimate moment without agreement. If a product uses an app, read the permissions and turn off what you do not want. Keep intimate objects where children will not find them. The parcel and the card statement are a separate topic, covered in discreet shopping.

Planned Parenthood’s overview of sex toys is the public page our care guide relies on: Sex toys.
